Everest Panorama Trek[VAEPT08]

Offers scenic mountain flights in the Himalayas, really superb view of the world’s highest peaks Mt. Everest, Thamserko, Amadablam, Lhotse, Tengboche Monastery visit and  a lifetime experience of rich Sherpa culture and hospitality.


Day 1

Drive to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport for an early morning flight to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft), a gateway destination from where the trek begins. After an adventurous 40 minute flight above the breathtaking green and white mountains, reaches the Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla. This is one of the most beautiful air routes in the world culminating in a dramatic landing on a hillside surrounded by high mountains peaks.Start hiking approx 3-4 hrs to Phakding for overnight at the local lodge.

Day 2

Walk through a beautiful pine forest, the track leads along the Dudh Koshi River through many suspension bridges, one of which is the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. The trail offers fantastic view of Mt. Thamserku (6618 m). Through the settlement of Benkar, Chumoa and Monjo, the check post and entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. The trail passes through the last village of Jorsale before reaching Namche Bazaar. Overnight at the local Lodge.

Day 3

Spend a day in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and a full day of leisure to visit Everest View Point hotel for wonderful panoramic view or stroll around the market. There is a  Sherpa Museum as well, a great place to learn Sherpa culture and history of mountaineering. Overnight at the local lodge.

Day 4

Today`s trek offer superb view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam and close up view of Thamserku. Along the way offers an oppertunity to spot wildlife musk deer, a herd of Himalayan Thar and multicolored pheasants. An enjoyable walk down to the river at Phunki Thanhka to lunch next to water driven prayer wheels. A steep but short climb takes to Tengboche Monastery through forests of blue pine, fir and black juniper. Overnight at the local lodge.

Day 5

After exploring Namche, we continue our trek west through the village of Thamo on our way to Thame (3820m).  It's a beautiful hike through juniper and pine woods overlooking the Bhote Koshi river.  We pass by colorful Buddhas painted high on a rock wall.  Just past the Buddhas, we cross over a suspension bridge which provides some great views of water erosion carved into the rock gorge below by the seasonal changes in the river. Thame was home to Tenzing Norgay who together with Ed Hillary were the first to successfully climb Mount Everest in 1953.  We enjoy some spectacular views before moving on to the east to the village of Khumjung at an elevation of 3790m/12434ft . This village probably the biggest village of the areas and visit Hillary school established by Sir Admund Hillary and visit to Khunde village where a place of famous climber and big hospital running by charity. Overnight at the local lodge.

Day 6

From Khumjung village,we walk back to the downhill for overnight at Monju.

Day 7

We leisurely walk back to Lukla today, enjoying the lush green scenery and passing through a local Sherpa village. Once in Lukla, you’ll have time to stroll around the area and celebrate your accomplishments. Overnight is at a hotel this evening.

Day 8

Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.
