9 Days Yoga & Meditation Trip [VAYMT09]


Yoga is an ancient science of physical, mental and spiritual development which originated in India more than 7000 years ago. Yoga has been practiced throughout the world and has many benefits for the people performing this ancient Indian art. India is known as the country where Yoga and Meditation are a way of life.

 

The following are the five yoga principles which should be keep in mind before performing this art

1
Day 1

After your arrival in Delhi airport, our local guide will pickup you up and transfer to your hotel. Relax in the rest hours of this day and also visit the traditional bazaars as well as historic and monumental sites in Delhi.  Overnight at Delhi hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast tour briefing followed by full day city tour of Old and New Delhi. In addition to its Historic interest and role as the Government center, Delhi is a major travel gateway. It is one of India’s busiest entrance points for overseas airlines, the hub of the North Indian travel network and a stop on the overland route across Asia. Places to visit are Red Fort (Closed on Every Monday),  Raj Ghat,  Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate.  Drive past the Government building lining the Jan Path. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3

Morning transfer to station to catch Shatabadi Express to Haridwar. On arrival transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour followed by grand viewing of Ashrams, some of which are internationally recognized as centre of Philosophical studies, Yoga and Meditation. A few of the ashrams in and around Rishikesh are Mahesh Yogi Ashram at Muni Ki Reti, Parmarth Niketan, Swarg Ashram, Ved Niketan Yoga Study Center, Shanti Kunj Maa Anand Mai ashram. 
Arrive and check in into one of the Ashram. Afternoon is to be spent on briefing of day routine.

Day 4

A Typical day at Ashram with Yoga and Meditation class. Overnight Ashram.

Day 5

Morning drive to Shivpuri, arrive & check in Nature camp resort. After a welcome drink & acclimatization briefing about the whole schedule. Late afternoon jungle walk in the reserve forest around the Nature Camp Resort. Campfire followed by dinner & overnight stay.

Day 6

Early morning wake up for a Yoga class followed by relaxation of body & mind. After yogic breakfast drive to Byasi / Kaudiyala to start the rafting up to Shivpuri. Arrive Byasi briefing on safety, raft manoeuvring, team spirit etc. Rafting from Byasi to Shipuri. Free time for own activities. Evening meditation and relaxation followed by campfire & dinner at camp.

Day 7

Early morning wake up for one and half hour drive to Hindolakhal, arrive and start trek to Kunjapuri. The one hour trek goes through thick forest till we reach the top i.e Kunjapuri. After exploring the area for some time join the class for Asanas, relaxation & meditation. Witness the sunrise on Greater Himalayan peaks and afterwards trace your steps back to Nature camp resort. Free time for own activities. After lunch drive to Chilla for a wildlife Safari. Arrive Chilla, briefing on jungle discipline, animal behaviour & low impact eco friendly outdoors. Drive back to Nature camp resort for Dinner & night halt.

Day 8

Early morning advance yoga class with question answer session helping in assessment of change in personality during the course. After breakfast we raft down from the Shivpuri to Rishikesh assessing leadership qualities, team spirit and training for rescue. Lunch at Brahampuri. In the evening you will be transferred to station to connect train to Delhi. On arrival check in into hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9

Airport departure transfer will be provided to board onward flight.
