Festival of India in 2016
KONARK DANCE & MUSIC FESTIVAL (19 February 2016)
This festival offers classical, folk and tribal culture of Orissa and India, which is displayed through dance, music, art, spiritual and traditional rituals in front of the Konark Sun Temple in an open air.
LADAKH FESTIVAL (18 September 2016)
The ceremony begins with an inaugration procession in Leh where different cultural troupes pass through the Leh market dancing and singing, each one adorned in colourful traditional Ladakhi dresses.
MARWAR FESTIVAL (09 October 2016)
This festival commemorates the Rajput heroes of this region and recalls their valorous deeds. On this day vibrant Folk Music and Dances are performed.
DEEWALI (30 October 2016)
People all over India and across communities celebrate Diwali in its entire splendor. This festival of lights is supposed to reckon prosperity, health and wealth into every household and business establishment. 
PUSHKAR FAIR (08 November 2016)
Selling and buying of livestock, different types of competitions are held during the fair. The competitions include longest moustache, matka Phod, bridal competition, cattle beauty contest, and horse and cattle race.
CHANDRABHAGA FAIR (13 November 2016)
This is a colourful show of farm animals from across many regions.The fair takes advantage of the influx of visitors from farming communities of many regions. Camels, cows, horses, buffaloes and bullocks are traded here.
HORNBILL FESTIVAL (01 December 2016)
The cultural traditions of the different Naga tribes are highlighted during the festival. The Naga King chili (or Bhoot Jholakia), the hottest chili in the world, is showcased in the Chili Eating Contest. Chili and pork are the major food attractions at the festival.
